Capital punishment with Prager (UPDATED)

UPDATE 8/9: You can now hear the interview online here.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 8 at 11 am PT, Joe Bessette and I will be on The Dennis Prager Show to discuss our book By Man Shall His Blood Be Shed: A Catholic Defense of Capital Punishment

For other recent radio and television interviews about the book, follow the relevant links here.

  1. I am a Catholic who is very grateful for your book and heard the interview on Prager's show. I voted in favor of the DP here in California last year.

Sister Helen Prejean has made a fortune as a celebrity nun abolitionist. She bothers me to no end. I have tried for years to inform misinformed Catholics that we can support the DP. I have been accused of reading the Church teaching to fit my belief; that the DP is revenge; etc.

I pray your book lifts the fog surrounding this important teaching.

You may be interested in a little-known interview on video I found of Prejean. She shockingly admitted that, “Maybe there are crimes that are deserving of death. But the big moral question we have is who deserves to kill the person who did the crime?” She says this at approx. one minute in. Here is the video:

  2. If anyone is interested Patrick Coffin has a youtube channel and if you go to it you'll see he just uploaded his talk with Feser about the book.
