    Thank you Ed, I first learnt about Searle through your book on Philosophy of Mind.

    Out of interests are (his) Searle's critiques of Jacques Derrida gathered together anywhere? The article on Austin that started the argument is out there in PDF form, but I am unsure as to his later criticisms.

      Those do not seem easy to get hold of, unfortunately. As it happens, I have an article discussing Searle's dispute with Derrida coming out at Postliberal Order (probably tomorrow, in fact)

      Nice, looking forward to it.

      His major response I think was this essay, “The World Turned Upside Down,” though he also talked a bit about Deconstructionism in the wider context of relativism in a Reason interview.

    Very honorable article, Dr. Feser. Not related to Searle's death, but I would like to ask if you are familiar with the works of John Heil and his broadly Aristotelian views ?
