I am pleased to announce that my wife Rachel gave birth yesterday to our sixth child, Gwendolyn Marie Feser. Cigars all around. Posting may be light for a little while.
Update: Many thanks for the very kind wishes of all my readers. Here is a pic of Gwendolyn doing her best Alfred Hitchcock impression while held by her sister Gemma:

An Easter baby, congrats! Or, as a different striation might say, "It's always 4/22 somewhere?" (Still trying to be a priest, but my lovely gf makes things complex. Prayers!)
Congratulations!
Keep up the great work, but as you said, make sure to spend lots of time with the kids!
I am so happy for you!!

We can all give thanks to God we live in this marvelous age where having childbirth is no longer a form of Russian roulette,
where life expectancy is not 25 but 85,
where plagues and ubiquitous infestation with fleas, lice, worms, etc. have been banished, where our biggest worry is not the next meal but an apocalyptically menacing central government.
I am glad to know that all your children will be splendidly educated as warriors against would-be bringers of Dark Age oppression.
Whoa congratulations. A younger sister for John Henry :)

Congratulations Dr. Feser!
Children are a blessing (except between the ages of 13 and 25!!!)
As father of 3 teenage boys, I send my blessings to you and your wife and hope you are spared much of the lunacy of the teen years.
Congratulations, Prof. Feser, to you and your wife!!!
Congratulations, Professor Feser!
Congrats!
Congratulations, Dr. Feser!
P.S. As a young man going into philosophy, would it be presumptuous of me to expect a book from you in the future entitled Parenting for Christian Philosophers, or something of the like? Surely raising this many children has given you a unique wisdom, among other things!
Six kids? What kind of Catholic are you?

Eh. Do you think he's gonna stop here? They're probably looking forward to the seventh!
That being said, large families are the most beautiful. Kudos to Prof. Feser, may the Lord bless his ample progeny.
A prof of my at benedictine college (Jim Madden) is also a devout catholic and a thomistic philosopher. He has alot of kids too - over 5.
What is it with philosophers who are catholic having alot of kids?
Haha!

They're doing the Lord's work. Awesome.
Small world.
I know Jim Madden.
Congratulations Professor! I enjoy your blog very much and hope to take a class from you some day (last philosophy class at PCC was exactly 40 years ago). May you be blessed with a half dozen more children....and I second what Interstellar Bill said.
Kindest Regards, Cheri
